Oxygen‑absorbers are mixed together with melon‑seed products. Downstream procedures cannot verify the integrity of oxygen‑absorber sachets. Defective goods may enter the market and cause damage to brand reputation.

Solution

Optimized based on the absorbent‑bag cutting process, two core requirements are addressed:

● Clear visual differentiation between package edges and background;

● Distinct identification between package edges and iron‑powder‑containing sections.

Inspection Metrics

A backlight configuration is adopted to highlight sample contours. Differences in internal‑external light transmittance greatly facilitate outer‑inner package discrimination. After binary image processing,

high contrast is achieved among package outer edges, iron‑powder‑containing regions and the background. Target inspection is realized by identifying object contours.

  • ● Quantifiable inspection metrics: Inspection accuracy can be adjusted directly by modifying the detected‑area threshold.

  • ● Reduced inspection cost: Only one backlight source and one camera are deployed. Trigger photoelectric sensors and external PLC are not required. Signals are transmitted via serial‑port scripts. The built‑in I/O port of the host also supports signal output for further cost reduction.
