2019 | Deep Cultivation of South China Manufacturing Market, Self-developed Laser Equipment Put into FAW Hongqi New Energy Projects

In 2019, the domestic new energy vehicle industry entered a phase of rapid expansion, driving surging demand for power battery supporting equipment. Seizing this industry opportunity, Kerun ramped up R&D investment in CO₂ laser processing equipment and set up a dedicated laser process R&D team. The team developed special laser marking machines for lithium battery insulation films and cell traceability applications.

After multiple rounds of sample testing, process optimization and mass production verification on site, our self-developed laser marking machine for lithium battery tape was qualified as a supporting supplier for FAW Hongqi’s new energy production lines. We delivered complete laser marking workstations in batches. The equipment can print high-precision QR codes and batch information on power battery insulation tapes steadily without substrate breakdown or scorching, fully meeting the strict quality control standards of automobile manufacturers.

The successful cooperation with this leading auto enterprise proves that Kerun’s R&D and mass delivery capacity of laser equipment has been recognized by the high-end new energy industrial chain, and also accumulated mature project cases for developing more lithium battery clients in the future.
